Availability 

Availability is the amount of time that your asset is running as per expectation.

It is the ratio of run time vs planned production time. 

Performance

This is the measure of speed of your production process during the availability of the asset.  

Quality

As the name implies, it refers to the percentage of parts that passed quality tests.

OEE calculation

It is nothing but the product of multiplication of above three parameters.

However the calculation of OEE is not as simple as it sounds above. We need to take into account factors such as major losses known, break timings in shifts, etc. 

Data Match check

It is worthy mentioning here that when there is  a mismatch between parameters namely ‘Performance ratio’ and ‘Availability  ratio’ while closing shifts, Shift incharge has the power to refuse closure of the shift citing this as a reason. 

The role of IoT

IoT shoulders your burden by filling up the values for Production Quantity. We need to manually enter the values for Rejection quantity, reasons for rejection etc.
